"Unlimited Blade Works" by onlinefriends

In the grand emo canon, onlinefriends exists somewhere between 4th and 5th wave emo. 4.5 wave if you will, borrowing songwriting conventions from each respective style to create a distinct variation of emo that both feels familiar and new.

Laments of heartbreak, distance and nostalgia are set to anthemic, sing-along tracks, all full of catchy guitar riffs to accompany the scrappy vocals, as well the usual trappings of emo: bass, drums, a nice helping of cello, and some synths and electronic sounds for additional texture.

To celebrate both the 1 year anniversary of the release and 5 year anniversary of the band, Unlimited Blade Works is getting the tape treatment (again). But this time with alternate art designed by Kayne of the band and a special bonus track "Polish to English".
