"ハラキリ折り紙" by Harakiri Origami
Hailing from the sunshine state, Orlando act Harakiri Origami began simply enough. Wanting to create a very specific sound that is few and far between after writing a slew of black metal releases.
Mentioning the project Sugar Wounds from South Carolina as a major influence, Harakiri Origami continues to explore the sound initially developed by said act.
They blend grindcore, shoegaze, blackgaze, screamo, grindcore, noise rock, industrial and crust together on "ハラキリ折り紙".
"ハラキリ折り紙" also unintentionally became the first album of a trilogy where Harakiri Origami experiments with the frame work of grindcore. The second album "Mañana no Vendrá" released in March of 2025 and the final part of the trilogy "Esperando por el Otoño" debuting earlier in August 2025.
NBM is excited to release the first Hikari Origami album on cassette tape as a part of the New Noise Showcase series.
